My first Nature's Gate test product was the Nature's Gate Organics Tea Tree & Blue Cypress Soothing Shampoo for Dry, Itchy, Flaky Scalp. I don't really have dry scalp but I thought perhaps the tea tree would help with the greasy hair situation. Well, not so much. This shampoo is about $8 for a small bottle. My hair would be squeaky clean after the wash, but the residual smell faded quickly, and it was really difficult to go two days without a wash.
The second product I tried out was the Henna Shine Enhancing Shampoo for Dull, Lifeless Hair at $7 a bottle. Technically I bought this for my husband. Since he doesn't use conditioner, his hair tends to look dry. This shampoo really did not work well for me. Perhaps combined with conditioner it would be okay.
Still not willing to give up on Nature's Gate, I decided to test out the Herbal Daily Shampoo for All Hair Types. This was largely based on the smell. Here I think I found a winner. The shampoo smells great, it leaves my hair soft and clean, and for some reason, it also is really good at straightening out my natural body. At $7 for a reasonable size bottle, it is also cost effective.

My only concern with this product is the list of ingredients. I am not positive, but I don't know what some of things are and that makes me hesitate.
Water, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Prunus Serotina (Wild Cherry) Bark Extract, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyquaternium-10, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Undecylenate, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.
Now if only they had the organic shampoo in the herbal fragrance, I would give it five leaves!
